Planting Workshop

A planting workshop for the senior group was held at Gifted People Services in Markham. Our speaker, Angela shared the planting techniques and the benefits of growing vegetables.

National Indigenous History Month

June 12, 2024

June is National Indigenous Month in Canada, a time to recognize and celebrate Indigenous groups and communities and their culture and heritage.

We support the Moose Hide Campaign to promote cultural sensitivity and anti-racism. The campaign is grounded in Indigenous ceremony and traditional ways of learning and healing. Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night. The traditions of the festival focus on the full moon, which is a symbol of reunion and happiness.

Shih Tai Art Gallery

McExchange interviewed Mr. Guan, founder of Shih Tai Art Gallery in Markham. He is specialized in Chinese dry ink painting, Li style calligraphy and landscape oil painting. His works have been exhibited in North America, China and Singapore; his works won many prizes.
